The update centers around two major new biomes hidden within the Lost Jungle. To begin your journey, you will need to purchase a Gas Mask near Oliver to traverse the short cave system protected by toxic fumes.
New Location: The Toxic Grove
Once you make it through the fumes, you will arrive at the Toxic Grove. This hazardous area features:
Toxic Waters: A dangerous environment for fishing.
New Bestiary: A completely new bestiary including a brand-new rarity type to catch.
New NPC & Quests: Speak to the Plagued Reaper to accept new questlines.
Travel: Players can traverse from here to the Living Garden with help from Olivia.
New Location: The Living Garden
Contrasting the toxicity of the Grove, the Living Garden is a lush area focused on nature. Key features include:
Nature & Flowers: A scenic location filled with harvestable flora.
New Bestiary: Similar to the Grove, this area features its own unique bestiary and rarity type.
New NPC: Speak to the Gardener for specific quests.
Seed Collection: You can now open up flowers around the area to collect seeds.
New Mechanics: Flower Planting
The expansion introduces a farming system. Players can now plant the seeds they have collected within the Living Garden. Collecting these flowers is essential, as they are used for various crafting recipes and are required to unlock a couple of new fishing rods.
New Boss Hunts
Two major hunts have been added for advanced anglers:
Rotbloom Hunt: Hiding within the Toxic Grove, the Rotbloom is a difficult catch due to the environment. You must intercept toxic fungi to increase your chances of reeling it in.
Flower Guardian Hunt: This entity sleeps in the Living Garden and is only awakened when the garden is at risk. Interacting with the flowers seems to be the key to waking it up.
