Fisch January 31 2026 Patch Notes
Hunt System Rework
To combat the unpredictability of finding specific encounters, the Hunt system has been entirely reworked. The mechanics now favor active servers:
Frequency: Hunts will appear more frequently as you fish in their designated areas.
Player Scaling: The more players that are fishing, the higher the likelihood of a hunt activating.
Sundial Nerf: Sundial Totems now have a 1-minute cooldown in Public Servers.
New Stat: Disturbance
A new stat has been introduced to the game called Disturbance. This stat directly boosts your hunt spawning frequency.
End-game rods will generally feature higher Disturbance stats.
Certain rods will feature a "Hunt Focus," which provides a sizable boost to that specific hunt fish.
Luck Mechanics Overhaul
The Luck system has been reworked from the ground up to make the values on rods, potions, and weather effects more logical. Players should no longer face issues where random rarities are absurdly difficult to catch compared to higher rarities.
Rod Journal Rewards
The Rod Journal is now a source of valuable items for completionists:
XP Rewards: All unlocked rods now grant a claimable XP reward in the journal.
Collectors Lantern: Awarded for completing the entire Rod Journal.
Special Rod: Awarded for completing both the Fish Bestiary and the Rod Journal.
Personal Aquarium Buffs
Personal Aquariums have received significant buffs, including improved C$ generation and the addition of 2 new fish slots. The item pool for aquariums has been massively increased to include high-value items:
Essences: Thalass, Tide, and Requis.
Hunt Totems: Dripstone Collapse, Kraken, Megalodon, Scylla, and Colossal Dragon.
Event Totems: Blue Moon, Starfall, and Clearcast.
Whistles: Bloop and Shark.
Potions: Luck, Lure Speed, All Season, and Glitched.
Relics: Cosmic and Twisted.
Other: All Base Eggs and Glowworms.
Chest Pity System
Pity logic has finally been applied to very rare items found in chests, ensuring that bad RNG doesn't last forever. The following items now feature a pity system:
Dead Man's Tentacle
Dead Man's Treasure
Auric Rod
Sunken Rod
Quality of Life and Trading
Several changes have been made to improve the general gameplay and trading economy:
Clearcast Totem: A new totem is available for purchase at Moosewood that clears away unwanted weather.
Recent Average Prices (RAP): All tradeable items (excluding fish) now display their Recent Average Price. This allows players to view values before buying or selling at the Trade Plaza.
New Codes and Events
The developers have released a new code to celebrate the update. Additionally, a massive Valentine's Event is scheduled to begin on February 7th.
