The Fisch February 14 Update has officially arrived, bringing with it a blend of permanent end-game content and limited-time Valentine's Day festivities. Fisch February 14 Update Patch Notes
New Island: Scoria Reach
A brand new permanent island has been added to the game: Scoria Reach. This unforgiving environment is covered in lava and radiates intense heat. Players will need to acquire specific armor to withstand the temperatures if they plan on sticking around to fish and explore.
Crag-Crab Mining
A unique mining mechanic has been introduced within the Scoria Mines. Players can now interact with Crag-Crabs. If you fetch pearls from Lava Clams and give them to the crabs, they will passively mine up random ore nearby for you to collect later.
The Skeletal Leviathan
For those looking for a challenge, a new boss fight is available. The Skeletal Leviathan can be found in the Volcano. It has a small chance to spawn during a new night cycle or when agitated. It is a high-risk encounter, but the developers promise the rewards are worth it.
New Bestiary and Hidden Fish
Collectors have a new goal with the arrival of a permanent Bestiary. You will need to check every area of the game to find the whole collection. Furthermore, some fish are now "hidden" and only located in specific spots. It is highly recommended to bring a Fish Radar, as these catches can be very hard to spot.
New Rods
Two new permanent rods have been added to Scoria Reach. Both are purchasable, though obtaining them works differently:
One rod is available for purchase directly.
The second rod requires progression and a series of materials. Players should speak to the Scoria Guard to start this questline.
Valentine's Day Limited Events
Several features are available specifically for the holiday and may not return:
Sacred Lovestorms: These weather events are far more powerful than typical Lovestorms and last much longer. They are appearing just for Valentine's Day.
Cupid's Promise: Log in with a Duo today to receive this exclusive item.
New Limited Rod: A Nurse NPC has appeared at Sweetheart Shores. Complete their quest to unlock a new limited-time rod.
Gifting Discounts: For Valentine's Day, gifted products are 20% off, and you can now add custom notes when sending gifts.
