Overview of the NEL 2.0 Update
The NEL 2.0 update completely changes how you play Blue Lock Rivals. From a complete stat rework to brand-new hubs, here is a quick look at the major high-level changes:
Choose Your Position: Select from Striker, Midfielder, or Defender to gain unique stat multipliers.
Stat System Rework: Your score is now driven strictly by Goals, Steals, Assists, and Saves. Passing no longer counts toward ranking, putting an end to "pass farming."
League Departures: Berserk Dortmund and Chicorid have officially left the league.
Team Select & Hub: Pick your starting academy and explore a brand-new Team Hub complete with Quests, Perks, Leaderboards, and Questlines.
New Offer System: Receive club offers based on your career stats.
Contract Renewals: You can now choose to stay loyal to your club and renew your contract!
Choose Your Academy & Position
Your journey in the Neo Egoist League starts with choosing where you play and how you play. First, you'll select your starting academy:
Arsenaly (England)
Good for all around midfielders
Manshine City (England)
Good for all positions
Re Al (Spain)
Good for playmaking midfielders
Barcha (Spain)
Good for dribblers
Ubers (Italy)
Good for defenders
PXG (France)
Good for all around offense
Bastard Munchen (Germany)
Good for egoist strikers
After selecting your academy, you must choose your Position. Each position provides a distinct boost to your primary stats:
Striker: Boosts Shooting and Dribbling.
Midfielder: Boosts Passing and Assists.
Defender: Boosts Steals and Saves.
New Stat Tiers & Team Requirements
Your performance on the pitch is now rated under a new tier system (S, A, B, C, D) based on your per-match averages across Offense, Defense, Dribble, Shooting, and Passing. These tiers determine which elite teams will offer you a contract after your career ends.
To sign with the top-tier clubs, you must meet their strict stat requirements:
REAL: Requires 3 S-tier stats
Bastard Munchen: Requires 2 S-tier + 1 A-tier stats
PXG: Requires 1 S-tier + 2 A-tier stats
Arsenaly: Requires 2 A-tier + 1 B-tier stats
Ubers: No requirement
Barcha: No requirement
Manshine City: No requirement
The Team Hub & Main Quests
The brand-new Team Hub is your central station for progression. Inside, you can take on Captain Quests (which are repeatable every hour) and complete Team Questlines to earn unique Goal Effects, Playercards, and Chat Tags. You can also view the Friend Leaderboard and take advantage of unique Team Perks.
Additionally, several Main Quests have been added with repeatable rewards:
True Egoist: Complete every team's questline to earn the Mythic Goal Effect: Ego's Portal.
NEL Champion: Win 15 NEL matches to earn 5 Lucky Style Spins (Repeatable).
NEL Legend: Earn MVP in 15 NEL matches to get 10 Lucky Flow Spins (Repeatable).
NEL Prodigy: Win 10 NEL matches in a row to earn 5 Lucky Style + 5 Lucky Flow Spins (Repeatable).
Bachira x Isagi Chemical Reaction & Kiyora Rework
Unleash devastating team play with the brand-new Bachira x Isagi Chemical Reaction! Here is how to activate it during a match:
Isagi must be in Awakening Mode.
Bachira must use "Monster Shot" toward Isagi (from around 50 meters away).
Isagi's direct shot move will change to "I AM... A STRIKER".
Press the button at the precise time to trigger a special anime-inspired cutscene shot!
Kiyora has also received a major visual and mechanical update, featuring brand-new Awakening VFX and SFX, alongside a reworked Borderline ability that gives passed-to players a special cutscene shot.
