How to Fix Lag in Blue Lock Rivals

Blue Lock Rivals is one of the most popular games on Roblox at the time of writing. It is also one of the more graphically intense games in the Roblox ecosystem, which might result in laggy gameplay for some users.

There are a few things you can do to fix lag in Blue Lock Rivals if you are experiencing poor performance and low FPS.

Decrease Graphics Quality

Lowering the graphics quality inside Roblox is a good way to quickly and easily improve performance. Here's how to do that:

  1. Open the Roblox settings by pressing Esc while in-game.

  2. Navigate to the Settings tab.

  3. Scroll down to Graphics Quality and lower the settings.

    1. If you cannot change the Graphics Quality, make sure Graphics Mode is on Manual.

Increase the Frame Rate

Increasing the frame rate (FPS) can result in much smoother gameplay and less lag overall. Blue Lock Rivals defaults to a 60 FPS maximum frame rate, but you may be able to increase it. Your maximum frame rate is limited to your platform and monitor, so if you are on PC, this is a good thing to check. Here's how to do it:

  1. Open the Roblox settings by pressing Esc while in-game.

  2. Navigate to the Settings tab.

  3. Scroll down to Maximum Frame Rate and choose the highest setting.

Disable Shadows

Shadows are enabled by default in Blue Lock Rivals, and while this may make the game look nicer, it can also make the game more laggy. To disable shadows:

  1. Open the Settings menu inside Blue Lock Rivals.

  2. Scroll down to Shadows and toggle off the option.

Disable Cosmetic Physics

Cosmetic Physics are another purely visual feature in Blue Lock Rivals. Turning this off could slightly improve your game performance. Here's how to disable it:

  1. Open the Settings menu inside Blue Lock Rivals.

  2. Scroll down to Cosmetic Physics and toggle off the option.

Those are four settings you can change in Blue Lock Rivals to fix lag issues and improve your FPS. It's also worth making sure you close any unnecessary applications on your computer while you have Roblox open. This includes too many Chrome tabs and other applications like Spotify and Discord.
